Step inside the at-home program designed to fix the visual skills that keep clients from passing their road test.

Dr. Juanita Collier, a Behavioral Optometrist specializing in Visual Rehabilitation for over 15 years, has helped hundreds of drivers feel more confident and safer on the road. With her help, new and rehabilitating drivers have gained the independence they've been looking for!

Get ready to hit the road! This 6-8 week course is designed for teens preparing for their driver's test. Our program focuses on developing critical visual and cognitive skills necessary for safe driving, such as hand-eye coordination, peripheral awareness, and depth perception. With skill-based assessments at every stage, you’ll only move on to the next module when you're ready—ensuring that you gain the confidence to ace your test and stay safe on the road.
This 6-month program is designed for adults recovering from injury, neuro-diverse individuals, or those looking to enhance and rebuild their visual driving skills. The course provides a comprehensive approach to improving key visual skills like reaction time, visual memory, and focus—all crucial for safe driving. Whether you’re returning to driving after rehabilitation or aiming to sharpen your skills, our program is structured to help you feel secure and capable behind the wheel.

Built to Drive takes the most effective elements of in-office therapy and delivers them digitally, in a structured, step-by-step way. It’s not meant to replace in-office therapy, but rather to give driving rehab professionals and their clients an accessible, proven solution when vision skills are the barrier to progress.
Because clients are not our direct patients, we do not have HIPAA-level tracking of exercise performance. However, here’s how we support accountability and progress:
Clients log in to access each session, so we know when training is started
We host monthly Q&A calls for participants to ask questions and receive guidance
Clients (and providers) can contact us anytime for clarification
When partnered with OTs and driving specialists, we collaborate directly — so you receive feedback on functional changes in-session while we support the visual training at home
No — and here’s why. Built to Drive follows the typical neurodevelopmental sequence of visual skill acquisition: fixation, tracking, flexibility, depth perception, and processing. Every client must master these skills in sequence to achieve long-term visual processing gains. The program adapts as the client improves, ensuring that it remains challenging without needing case-by-case customization.

We ship all the specialty equipment needed for 4D Built to Drive directly to the client. There are some everyday objects that would be required but are typically easily available(i.e. marble, flashlight, etc). All charts and paper-based activities are available for download in the portal.
